A poster promoting Getik Valley was created and placed in the Dprabak community of the Gegharkunik Region.It welcomes tourists visiting the area and provides assistance for acquainting them to the valley and finding services and attractions. The poster was organized through the “Development of Gehgharkunik Region Dprabak Community and Eight Surrounding Communities through the Community Development Center” program, which was founded by World Vision Armenia and Armenia Caritas, and was supported by the municipality of Dprabak. The target communities are located 100-115 kilometers away from the regional center. The communities’ populations consist of refugees who resettled during Soviet times from the Azerbaijani town of Shamkhor or the Artsvashen region. As of data from October 13 of 2005, the population of these 9 communities is 13,901 people.
