The official opening ceremony of “Machanents” International Art Symposium exhibition was held on the 7th of October, 2018. But it was four times a fest for us because we also celebrated the 2703rd anniversary of Ejmiatsin, 31st anniversary of Cross of Armenian Unity NGO and the birthday of the president of Cross of Armenian Unity and founder of “Machanents” International Art Symposium Grigor Machanents Babakhanyan. Among the guests of the event were the Minister of Culture of RA Lilit Makunts, Minister of Transport, Telecommunication and Information Technologies Hakob Arshakyan, Minister of Territorial Administration Suren Papikyan, Honorary Consul of Serbia to Armenia Babken Simonyan, General Director of Arpinet LLC Armen Muradyan, intellectuals, cultural figures and other guests. During the event about 70 participants from 16 different countries received certificates, the Museum of Peace Wine was founded, the first exponates of which became the wine made by the participants of the symposium on the first day in unique bottles. The special guest of the symposium was Forsh who greeted the guests with his song. At the end of the event, the guests walked in the gallery getting acquainted with the works of art created during the symposium.
